Sophie Rickard

Whilst studying Law at the University of Exeter I was involved in a number of student groups and founded and ran the Exeter UNICEF On Campus Group. Since graduating, I worked and volunteered for several NGOs, including the British Red Cross, before carrying out a placement with 2Way Development at the Cambodian Women’s Development Agency in Phnom Penh. My role focused on developing the organisation’s strategic plan, as well as improving their monitoring and evaluation systems. I currently work as a Programme Assistant at Publish What You Pay, a global campaign for revenue transparency in the oil, mining and gas industries. I also act as a part time Ambassador for 2Way Development, I help with talks at events and shows in London, and I’m available to talk individually by phone about my placement and experience overseas.
